WHY USE US
Regardless of how sophisticated the ship’s operational or
automated systems are, these protocols are of little or no assistance
if the ship’s crew and in particular the Officers are not
trained
to respond correctly in an emergency situation.
Marine fire fighting requires a coordinated and
systematic approach in all areas of emergency preparedness. Fire safety
on ships is dependant on key personnel including the chain of command
and support teams who consolidate to form one working group capable of;
- Crew Safety
- Fire Risk Assessment
- Fire Fighting
- Containment
- Casualty Handling & Rescue
- Contingency Planning
This could mean the difference between a
potential ship
fire catastrophe by saving human life, the vessel and its cargo. There
are two main factors to consider; the first of which is the safety and
protection of the crew and the vessel. The second is the ability to
demonstrate the required fire fighting protocols in the event of a Port
State Inspection wherever the vessel
is situated. These two elements carry heavy and severe penalties if not
satisfied, both in human life and monetary value. Port State
Inspections are becoming increasingly stringent in their
assessments of Emergency Preparedness and this can
easily
evolve into a drastic situation for both the ship’s crew and
the
Shipping Operator.
Consider these factors that will quickly arise when a vessel finds
itself suddenly detained (arrested at port);
- Emergency response training costs
- Re-birthing fees
- Loss of charter or contract
- Legal legislation
- Loss of reputation
- Contractual penalties/fines
Any vessel that carries human life whether it be crew or passengers
MUST be versed in effective marine fire fighting procedures as both
statutory and moral requirements.
MARINE FIRE MANAGEMENT can and does prevent such
a tragedy.
Bluebeast in conjunction with Fire Aid International have developed a
standardised training system considering the requirements of SOLAS, the
IMO, the MCA and the STCW95 convention which is internationally
recognised throughout the world and accepted in every vessel we have
attended.
The M.F.M.P (Marine Fire Management Programme) led
by Fire
Aid International Training Ltd has been implemented in
vessels in worldwide locations including:

Until recently, marine fire training has been solely limited to the
placement of Facilitators onboard an individual vessel. Whilst this is
highly effective, it can also be costly and present many
logistical problems. We understand that an Owner/Operator has to
prioritise their expenses accordingly.
EVALUATE & ASSESS FIRST-
All
Shipping Operators would welcome the chance to evaluate their
crew
without the expense of implementing a training programme which may not
be necessary.
Bluebeast has now rectified this situation and
developed
the unique ability to evaluate any vessel at any international location
at any time suitable within the vessel’s timetable of
operations.
This is a first within the Shipping Industry and
any
Company will now have the ability to learn if their crew meet the
required standards of Emergency Preparedness by utilising the Bluebeast
Marine Fire Management System (M.F.M.S) at a fraction of the cost
normally associated with this training.

PRESENTATION
Working with different nationalities and cultures is an art in itself.
Understanding their traditions and values are a fundamental
part
of our training. We have been privileged to work with many
nationalities including Filipino, Greek, Russian, Polish, Lithuanian,
Bosnian, Chinese and North Korean.
A Training Company may possess all the knowledge
in the
world but communicating this in a manner that is receptive requires a
good understanding of people skills and human nature.
We believe that for a training programme to be
implemented and retained, it must focus on these elements and include
interactivity and mutual respect.
